This is my third posting for this school year. Yesterday another teacher asked me did I have anything in writing on how to write an essay. I said that I did not, but that I knew where I could get it. I showed her how to go to google and get it. We printed it, and she was in business. It is truly amazing what is on the Internet.
This is the second posting of the school year. This evening I have six students in the communications/English lab. They are all working at a different place in the PLATO program based on their particular needs. The goal is for them to complete the courses necessary to graduate from high school. The other teacher, Mrs. Mary Taylor, and I each teach a total of ten courses......two communications and eight English courses......English 9, 10, 11 and 12.
This is my first posting of the new school year, 2005-2006. We have a word of the day program. I write the word of the day on the board with the definition. The Director of the school comes around with goodies in a basket. If student volunteers can tell her the word of the day, give her the definition and use it in a sentence of their own, they get to select from the goody basket.
Today our schedule changed at school because the seniors have graduated. We are in session until June 3 from 7:30 am until 6 pm.
